How can I obtain a stay?

Visitation

At Dansk Rehabilitering, we have certain expectations of you, and just with this statement, many may choose to opt out of this offer. However, if you are consciously aware of your situation and understand that you need to work on yourself before your situation can improve, then Dansk Rehabilitering is the right place for you. It could be yourself or a family member who initiates the first contact.

Afterwards, we will arrange a meeting where you will have the opportunity to learn about and see what we can offer. If you meet our admission requirements, you will likely be eager to engage in a future collaboration once you have seen our beautiful surroundings and felt the warm and homely atmosphere that always permeates Klim Bjerg.

When you come to Dansk Rehabilitering, our staff is fully aware that a person is arriving who is facing serious challenges in life.

Your path to residency at Dansk Rehabilitering

Dansk Rehabilitering is a shelter home according to Section 110 of the Danish Social Services Act.

Paragraph 1: The municipality must offer temporary residency in housing facilities to individuals with special social problems who do not have or cannot stay in their own accommodation, and who require residential services and supportive measures, care, and subsequent assistance.

Paragraph 2: Admission to housing facilities as mentioned in paragraph 1 can be initiated by self-referral or through referral from public authorities.

Paragraph 3: The manager makes the decision regarding admission.

Dansk Rehabilitering is approved under Section 110 of the Danish Social Services Act, which means that our services are self-referential. You have the option to contact us directly and do not need to have made any arrangements with a caseworker from the municipality. If you are homeless, functionally homeless, and experiencing psychological or social challenges that prevent you from having a home or staying in your home, then you meet the requirements for admission to Dansk Rehabilitering.

Contact us directly, and our skilled social workers will provide you with professional guidance and assist you safely throughout the process.

Residence Plan and Assessment

When you move into Dansk Rehabilitering, you and your contact person will collaboratively create a residence plan. This plan includes the goals you wish to work on during your stay. It outlines the goals and specifies the actions that you, your contact person, social worker, and other collaborators need to take in order to achieve those goals. The residence plan is shared with your case manager in your home municipality. You and your contact person at Dansk Rehabilitering regularly follow up on your goals and discuss any necessary adjustments to the plan.

During your stay, the social worker at Dansk Rehabilitering, in collaboration with you, will conduct an assessment. This assessment provides a comprehensive description of your social circumstances—both past and present—observations of your challenges and resources, as well as an evaluation of your support needs and any potential future interventions. The assessment is also sent to your case manager in your home municipality.

The purpose of the residence plan and assessment is to ensure that we work together towards your readiness to return to your own home with a sense of peace and coherence in your daily life.

Finance

An stay at Dansk Rehabilitering is paid for by your home municipality. The personal contribution is always assessed individually based on your financial situation by your home municipality. The municipality may determine that your personal contribution should be 100.77 DKK per day (2024 amount). The level of personal contribution is adjusted once a year on January 1st in accordance with price and wage developments.
