Dansk Rehabilitering is located in the area where King Frederik VI, on June 21, 1824, rode along the Jammerbugten coast with his entourage on his way to Thisted. He stopped at Grønnestrand and exclaimed, “This desolate place is the most beautiful spot in my kingdom.” At Dansk Rehabilitering, we agree with King VI, which is why we have chosen this beautiful location for our rehabilitation center.
Dansk Rehabilitering is situated amidst the beautiful nature between Svinkløv to the east and Bulbjerg to the west. We are located in a place of peace and tranquility. Here, we can hear the sound of the waves from the North Sea, which is only 2 km away from our rehabilitation center, as well as the chirping of birds from the surrounding dune plantation. In short, we have a location that can provide you with the exact tranquility you need.
At Dansk Rehabilitering, we have 18 apartments with private bathrooms and terraces. There are plenty of cozy corners where people can gather in appropriate groups. We have a pool and dart room, rooms for all kinds of games and activities, a creative room, a movie room, and rooms for physical activities. We like to say that we have a room for everyone. Outside, we have a fantastic natural area that spans several thousand hectares. Here, you will find peaceful forests in varied terrain with lakes, and right next to our buildings, there is the old coastal cliff with a view of the North Sea and the surrounding nature as far as the eye can see. In the surrounding forest, there are two shelters that our residents have the opportunity to use.

We hold resident meetings to ensure that our residents have influence over activities, purchases, and everything related to daily life in the facility. As a resident at Dansk Rehabilitering, you will always be involved in your own residency plan as well as the action plan from the municipality.
The overall goal of Dansk Rehabilitering is to provide our residents with tools, resources, knowledge, and insight to create a better and more fulfilling existence so that they can navigate socially, psychologically, physically, and professionally in today’s modern and complex society on their own.
